The ‘irbis’, also known as the snow leopard, lives in the high mountains of Altai, the Sayan Mountains and Tyva. It has a smoky-grey coat with dark rings and an incredibly long, fluffy tail that helps it maintain balance on steep cliffs. The snow leopard also has a funny habit of carrying its tail in its mouth!
